I like the idea that Hannibal and his team have been in the adventuring biz so long that they’ve developed schticks to deal with common situations like this. From earlier adventures we know that “Routine #27” is “Distract the Girl so that she won’t get in Hannibal’s way”and we saw Hannibal telling his men when responding to a Yeti attack: “By the numbers, just like we rehearsed.”
I’ll probably never get around to systematically cataloging them all; partially because I’m lazy but also because it’s funnier to leave it to the reader’s imagination.
For the record, Elwood is a good enough shot that he probably could take out Stone pretty easily without even grazing Billy. Maybe that’s Routine #33
