Recently several Republican candidates running for president were asked to name the greatest living president. Ben Carson said “I don’t know.” Rick Santorum said, “Probably a Bush,” but declined to specify any further than that. But Bobby Jindel, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump all went with the safe answer: “Ronald Reagan”.
Yes, this cartoon is too complicated and geek-oriented to make a really good political cartoon — ideally a political cartoon ought to have a simple idea conveyed by a powerful image –Â but it gave me a chance to draw some of our current politicians. And to draw Ronald Reagan as Cthulhu. I used to enjoy drawing Ronald Reagan.
